Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 6, 2026
SoFL CAMs (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a division of BidMyCommunity, Inc., operates this website and membership platform for South Florida Community Association Managers. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account & profile: name, email, phone, management company, community name, CAM license number, and anything you add to your profile.
- Event registrations: the details you provide when you RSVP, including for guests.
- Payments: when paid features are enabled, payment card details are collected and processed by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
- Usage data: basic, privacy-friendly analytics about how the site is used.
- Communications: messages you send us and your email preferences.
Cookies & similar technologies
- Strictly necessary: when you log in, our authentication provider (Supabase) sets session cookies in your browser that keep you signed in and protect your account. The platform's member and admin areas cannot work without them, so they are not optional.
- Analytics: we use Vercel Analytics to count page views and understand which pages are useful. It is cookieless and does not build an advertising profile of you or follow you across other websites.
We do not use advertising, retargeting, or third-party social tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block ours, public pages will still work but you won't be able to stay logged in.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate your membership, register you for events, process payments, send service messages and (with your consent) newsletters and announcements, run the member directory and forum, and improve the platform.
Email communications & your choices
Transactional messages (registration confirmations, receipts, account notices) are part of the service. Marketing and newsletter emails include an unsubscribe link in every message; you can opt out at any time and we honor those requests across all marketing email. You can also manage directory and SMS preferences from your profile.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the platform — for example our hosting and database provider (Supabase), email provider (SendGrid), and payment processor (Stripe) — and when required by law. The member directory displays only the information of members who opt in.
Data retention & security
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and we use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect it. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time. Contact us using the details below to make a request.
Children
The platform is intended for professionals and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the “last updated” date above when we do.
